A new species of Urophora Robineau-Desvoidiy, 1830 (Diptera, Tephritidae) from Iran

چکیده
Urophora merzisp. n. reared from flower heads of Centaurea behen Linnaeus is described from Iran. It is similar to Urophora campestris, Urophora sachalinensis, Urophora stylata, Urophora tsoii and Urophora vera in wing pattern with 3 well developed crossbands and indistinct subbasal crossband, differing in aculeus tip with two pairs of diminished preapical steps and different host plants.

مطالعه فونستیک گونه‌های جنس Urophora Robineau-Desvoidy (Diptera: Tephritidae) در دو استان آذربایجان شرقی و آذربایجان غربی در طول سال‌های 1392 و 1393 انجام شد. در این تحقیق گونه Urophora vera Kurneyev & White از روی گیاه Serratula sp. (Asteraceae) از تیره مرکبان جمعآوری و پرورش داده شد. این گونه برای اولین بار از ایران گزارش میشود.

A new species, Fannia caucasica sp. nov., is described from localities in Georgia and Armenia between 1600 and 2200 m. In addition, previous literature on the genus Fannia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 in the Caucasus Mountains is reviewed, and records are given for 15 species from Armenia and Georgia, of which nine are new records for Armenia and seven are new records for Georgia.

Fannia Robineau-Desvoidy is a genus of calyptrate Diptera that comprises 89 Neotropical species, of which only 23 occur in Colombia. Based on male characters (including terminalia), two new species from the Department of Antioquia (Fannia colazorrensis sp. nov. and Fannia laclara sp. nov.) are described. Illustrations of the male are presented.
